Wendy first began practicing yoga to heal chronic physical pain that resulted from long distance running. In the beginning her yoga was simply a physical form of exercise. When a fellow practitioner recommended Journey into Power by renowned yogi Baron Baptiste, Wendy’s yoga practice was transformed. Baron’s unique ability to explain the connection of our bodies, spirit, and mind not only allowed Wendy to heal her physical pain, but began an emotional healing process that changed her life.
In 2004, Wendy began traveling to participate in workshops with Baron Baptiste, Rod Stryker, Sean Corn, Judith Hansen-Lasater, and Christina Sell. In 2005 she studied with Holly and Matthew Krepps at Barefoot Studios in Little Rock to become a 200-hour Certified Yoga Alliance teacher. She also completed Level 1 Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga training with Baron Baptiste in 2007. Most recently she participated in an Anusara Yoga workshop led by certified Anusara yoga teacher Christina Sell. It is her joy to bring students a style of yoga blended by these experiences, so that others can reap the physical and emotional benefits of yoga.
